You can't always get what you want

I've managed to finally start taking my online classes that will lead to certifica- tion. However, because of the many pitfalls and inconveniences I've run into, I have less than two weeks to complete three courses if I am to qualify to take an exam on the 19th of April. If I finish these courses in time and manage to study for and pass the exam on the 19th, I will have the go-ahead to start interviewing for teaching positions for the upcoming school year. I feel I have a 30% chance of such things coming to pass.
If I fail my exam, or do not manage to complete my courses in time, I have other options. Another exam is being offered on June 21. That does me no good though, since even if I pass the exam then, I will not be able to interview with principals until the beginning of the school year.
The most likely scenario is that I end up working on my courses throughout the summer, and return in the fall to take the exam. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to find an opening in the spring semester of 2009, gaining some other form of employment till then.
I can't say as I'm thrilled by what lies ahead. If all else fails, I guess I can always go teach English in China and hang out with David on the weekends.
