After finishing work on Wednesday, I went home, took a short nap, and then got ready to go to Panama. I left Dubai at 2 in the morning, and arrived 14 hours later in Washington at 8 in the morning. I've been in the Washington airport for 18 hours now. It's 2 in the morning here. I've been traveling for 32 hours, and over the past 48 hours I think I've gotten about 6 hours of sleep in. I'm wired.
I opted to stay at the airport because the next flight I can catch to Miami is at 6 in the morning, which means I'd just have to wake up at 4 if I'd stayed at a hotel. That sentence sounds extremely weird. That sentence too. I think the lack of sleep is taking its toll.
Anyways, I wasn't too discouraged that I wasn't able to catch any of the 6 flights to Miami today. That's life. It's kind of an adventure anyways.
I met a friend, and that makes it better. Not sure what his name is, but he's from Peru. So far we've talked in Spanish and English about languages, economics, Latin America, Korea, and study habits. He kept watch for an hour while I dozed off, and now he's asleep so I'm trying to keep watch. I've been reading Game of Thrones recently so I feel like I've taken the black and will guard my post well.
Here's a pic:
