I've come to realize that one of my problems as a teacher is that sometimes I take the teaching part of my job too seriously. I forget that there are other aspects to being a teacher, like being a real human being and realizing that I'm there not just to teach a subject, but also to be a role model and mentor. Lately, I've been getting too caught up in the subject.
I mean, really, it's just English. In reality, it's not more important than learning how to respect people and be a decent human being.
