We met through some friends last May or so, and started dating around August or so. At first things were a little shaky, but I won her over with my charm, wit, and cunningly good looks in the end. She got me hooked with her cute Korean looks and winning personality. Fun fact: her favorite food is ddeokbokki (mashed rice patties mixed with vegetables and mashed fish patties in spicy red sauce).
So, I'm going to answer some of the more relevant questions on your mind:
1. Does she speak English?
Yes. Not perfectly though. I can bust out with some hood slang and she probably wouldn't be down with it, but for the most part, she knows what's up. I've found that it's pretty hard to get away with cute little remarks, but I find ways around it.
2. Does she cook for me?
Not regularly, but when she does, it's great.
3. Does she speak Korean?
Yeah. I think she has a Busan accent, which is kinda the equivalent of a Southern accent in America. Not too sure since I can't distinguish it.
Anyways, she's my main tutor. That's actually how we came to be good friends, because she used to tutor me every weekend. I was always really impressed that she would sit there for an hour or two and listen to me and my crappy Korean and try to fix it up.
4. Does she have any interesting Korean personality traits?
Definitely. I'll tell you when it's safer to talk.
5. What was her life like?
Her parents are farmers, and she grew up in a small town outside of Busan. When she got older she moved to Busan and went to college there. She lived in England for a year and traveled around Europe a bit. Those are the basics.
6. What's she doing now?
She recently got a job with Emirates, which is an airline based out of Dubai. She's in training right now to be a stewardess. She moved out there a couple weeks ago, so it's been hard without her around, but she's really happy with the opportunities it's gonna get her, and it's been something that she's been working towards for the past couple years, so I'm really proud that she was picked out of the thousands of people that applied.
7. How're you guys gonna keep things going?
We talk a lot on the phone and through Skype, and I'm gonna go visit her in January during my winter vacation. After that, throughout the year she'll either have time to come out here or I'll have time to visit again, and in October, when my contract expires here, I plan on going out there to get my CELTA and find a teaching job.

8. What's her personality like?
She's really easy-going and friendly. She's a lot like me actually, except I probably pick my nose a little bit more than she does.
If you got any other questions, feel free to comment and I'll answer them.
