The continuing saga of my teaching career

I took the practice test this past weekend. My instructor said that I needed to pass with a 70%. I got a 68%. Considering that the test covered how to teach reading and writing (something I'd never studied in my life), I thought that I did pretty good. My instructor wasn't too happy, and called it a "very, poor score" (note the misuse of the comma). However, she was nice enough to allow me to register for the real test, which is coming up on April 19. I'm going to take off several days next week and dedicate myself to studying for it. I've ordered about 10 books and study guides to help me with it. If I pass the test, I'll soon be able to apply for jobs at various schools. If I don't pass the test, I have to wait till next year.

So, whatever happens, happens.
