Craigslist ups and downs

Well, I sold my TV. I'd bought for about $600 last year, and I ended up selling it for $300. Electronics. Gees.
I'd posted it on Craigslist, and within 5 minutes some English guy had called me up and we'd cemented the deal later on that afternoon. However, I was an idiot and forgot to put the remote in the box. I called him up and apologized and sent it out to him the next day. I could tell that he was already a little spooked as he handed me the 35 $10 bills, so forgetting the remote hadn't helped any. (Side tangent: Seriously, what country's main denomination of bills is the equivalent of the $10 bill? Last year they introduced the equivalent of the $50 bill for the first time, but I think I'm the only one using it. It's so ridiculous to see people rolling out of the ATM with huge piles of $10 bills in their hands).

Well, that had seemed to work out well, so I thought I'd try my luck with other things.
Unfortunately, they haven't done so well.

My Initial D anime box set got flagged for removal. I have absolutely no clue why.

One of the teachers I'd worked with last year had given me this hat. It hasn't gotten any bites.

Nor has the Costco-sized shampoo.

Or the mosquito netting.

What to do. What to do.

actually it was just a cheap box set i found on yes24.com and i'm gonna use it to study korean. but there were 2 dvd sets, one in japanese, so i was trying to sell the japanese one.

oddly, you're the second person who's mentioned car anime in a negative way. what gives?

p.s. 'pregers' is the verification word i have to type for this reply. huh.

lol, not that car anime is a bad thing. just funny. You've always been my 'car' friend. it suits you. Remember the last time we saw each other? you fixed the windows on my camaro only a couple hours before I left for good. crazy to think about...

I'm actually kinda scared talking to you right now. I have a pit in my stomach. Its cool to catch up with you, but I feel like.. Scared that so much has happened since the last time we talked that.. do we even have stuff in common now?

/sigh.. Life is beautiful

I recently had a boost in confidence that someday, I will learn Japanese. I dunno how, but I will.

Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your blog =P

I've been working on this reply for like 20 minutes. It's making me late getting out of work.

I'm trying to scrounge together some advice.

I mean, I should have some good thoughts on this, really. I've been in more friend/distance situations than anyone else I know.

I guess I'll just tell you what I do, and you can pick the good and bad from that:

I just try to ignore the fear and awkwardness. I try my best to keep alive the image of everything I liked about that person, and I try to find that again when I meet them again. I try not to let the awkwardness get to me, cause I know in my heart that the other person was really awesome, and probably still is if I can just get a little bit of that same connection back. Sometimes it's easy; sometimes it's not.

I wouldn't sweat it though. You'll always have a special place in my heart, and I'm sure I somehow cemented myself into yours as well. we'll see each other again. maybe we can play a game of ice cube tag to get past the awkwardness
