Speaking of her job, I just gotta mention that it's really unique. She gets to travel all over the world and spend a little time in lots of different countries. She's been to lots of countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa, as well as Australia.
It has its good and bad points though. I mean, I don't really like souvenirs, but I guess if I was, I could have all the souvenirs in the world. Also, it's a good experience for her to see lots of sights and meet lots of people.
I think we both agree that the bad part is that she has no sleep schedule. The airline doesn't give out schedules that allow for consistent bed times, so she's constantly up at different hours all the time. Also, since she's usually never in the same time zone, that has a negative effect. We've both talked about how this is not the kind of job you can do forever. The pay is ok. It's a little more than what I make, with the possibility for pay raises and such.
I remember when she first got the job, she really wanted me to consider applying as well. But, after the first couple months she retracted her statement, claiming that being a stewardess is not all it's cracked up to be. Either way, I'm proud of who she is and what she does, and I enjoy the lives we lead.
It's cool to think that we're both travelers.
