I'm gonna be a teacher!

No, seriously. I am. Not an ESL teacher, but, like, a real teacher.

My online class with Pima Community College starts today. It's Education 272 - Philosophy of Education.

Basically, I have a handful of classes to take online, and then I have to complete the other 10 or so by doing a practicum. That probably means that I'll have to teach in Tucson for a year. Not anytime soon, but, eventually.

I'll be studying for a secondary English certificate. Not that I really want to teach English in an Arizonan high school, but I kinda think it would be cool to teach at an international school in (wherever). They pay a lot more than Arizona pays, and would be much more exciting.

For those of you keeping track, yes, I have previously tried to get my teaching certificate, and yes, that did fall through (even though I passed a standards test in Texas). I honestly am not too sure how it fell through, but it did. Anyways, this program with Pima is much better, and should provide me with a real certificate: something that I can use to make my degree in Creative Writing less useless.
