Mastering the technique

I have one class that is composed of real little kids between the ages of 7 and 9. I've been wanting to teach them Simon Says for a while, but couldn't figure out how to do it.

Today, I finally did it.

None of them had ever played it before, and it really made me happy for them to be learning words like 'jump, run, cry, stop, punch' and 'look at' while at the same time enjoying themselves. It was a nice break from constantly singing "Head and shoulders, knees and toes" with them.

The highlight though was when, halfway through the game, one of the little girls turned to another little girl and, in Korean, said, "This is so fun!"

It was cool to be able to understand her, and it was cool to know that's how she felt about it. It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.
