So, I was at a grocery store with some friends in Seoul, and we were walking by the liquor section.
My friend pointed out a bottle of the local liquor (called 'soju') that had a packet of band-aids looped around it.
Now don't get me wrong. I've seen a lot of marketing fads since I've been in Korea. Cereal boxes packaged with a towel, a large pack of instant coffee wrapped along with a cup holder, etc., but this one was the best ever. I have seen vast amounts of Korean guys stumbling around at all hours of the night, bumping into cars and throwing up on various sidewalks (in fact, the locals have taken to calling the throw up you see on the sidewalk as 'pizza'). Having a couple band-aids on hand only makes sense, and I would like to meet the marketing genius that came up with that one, if only to ask him what kind of accessory would be good to bundle with the driver's licenses they hand out here.
