About a month ago, one of my students asked me to meet her and her friend on Saturday in front of the local grocery store. She's about 9 years old, so I told her that I was meeting my friend on Saturday and I couldn't meet her. She thought I said that I was meeting her friend, but then I clarified that it was my friend, not her friend.
Don't get me wrong, she's a cute girl. I just think the language barrier would be too tough to deal with.
