The morning after

One of the girls that had been on the blind date had really caught my eye, so the next morning I went to Min's restaurant and he called her on the phone to see if she'd like to go out with me. She said that she had previous plans and couldn't hang out, and that she was headed back to Seoul the next day. It was kind of a bummer for me, cause I thought that we'd kinda hit it off a little.
I thought that was pretty much the end of that, but then two Sundays ago Min told me that she was coming back down and that she wanted to go on a date with me.
So, this past Friday I met her at a mall and we went to an Italian restaurant, and then to a Korean movie. The date was a little rough, as are most first dates. Audrey's (that's her English name) English isn't top notch, and most Korean toddlers speak better Korean than I do, so there were a good amount of prolonged silences and miscommunications (is that really not a word? Spell check is telling me it's not, which is too bad, because I tend to use that word a lot.) I didn't understand most of what happened at the movie, but I was just happy to see what it was like.
After that we went our separate ways. I was pretty bummed about how things had gone; I knew it would be tough trying to communicate, but I hadn't thought it would turn out as badly as it had, and I assumed that would be the last time I saw her.
However, I guess Audrey thought it had gone just fine, and she invited me to go to her brother's wedding the next day, which I shall talk about in detail during the next post.
