Any day now I should be getting my first paycheck, which will go into my new bank account. My internet bill has yet to come, but maybe the first month was free. I wasn't too sure about that.
I still have to wake up early one of these weekdays and go down to the hospital to get my health check so I can get my alien registration card. It costs 50,000 won ($38 at the moment), so I'm gonna wait a little to do that.
My weekend's already booked. I'll meet a few friends here and there, hang out, do some language exchange - you know, the usual. Last week we went to a Japanese-style restaurant and ate fried chicken. The next night it was raw fish at a Korean place.
I've started running in the mornings, and I found a place to do some chin-ups. It's nice to be getting back into that. I've stopped buying dumplings (aka potstickers). I found that staying lean and mean came naturally with Korean food, until I found those guys. This weekend I intend to treat myself to my first pizza in over a month.
And, for the most part, this is what I expected. I have somewhat of a routine, I have some sort of friend base, and even though I'm not a genius with the language, I'm starting to become comfortable with its sounds and rhythms. Basically, I've adjusted, and the daily motions of life here have become normal.
