I was advised today by a high school student that if I ever date a black girl, I should never mess with her hair. Note taken.

ryan927: I took a couple writing classes in college. This blog is my attempt to put those classes to use. I mostly try to chronicle the stories and thoughts of my daily life, and throw in a picture or two whenever possible. My goal is to look at this blog many years from now and laugh/cringe at the many memories these stories will bring to mind. And, if a couple other people laugh/cringe along the way as well, that's cool too. Note: Names of students and kids I worked with are changed for their privacy.
